Munich, Germany July 26, 2019 – AZ Displays launches their new 5.0 inch IPS display series, focused on industrial and outdoor applications.

Compared to the widespread TN LCD format, the main benefits of in-plane-switching (“IPS”) display technology are the extra wide viewing angles of +/-80 degrees all around, as well as the extensive high contrast ratio of 900:1.

Furthermore, IPS LCD displays are not affected by viewing-angle dependent color changes and/or washout effects like TN displays.Equally important, IPS displays stand out with their superior and brilliant color image representation.

ZETTLER’s new AZ Displays 5.0 inch IPS series are available in three different brightness versions. All these new displays share the high backlight lifetime of 50.000 hours, 800×480 resolution and parallel RGB interface. The standard range also contains resistive touch-panel version and capacitive touch-panel version.

For special requirements we can offer custom cover glass, also including capacitive touch, interface like LVDS and HDMI up to optical bonding.

Reliable and cost effective TFT displays for industrial controls applications continue to be in high demand.

Recently, a leading developer and manufacturer in the HVAC industry collaborated with the AZ Displays engineering team to find an appropriate and customized display solution. Our ATM0700D6B-CT, a 7 inch module with 400 nits and a robust life expectancy of 30.000 hours became the obvious choice for this industrial application. The product features superior 800×480 resolution and a 500 contrast, along with a capacitive touch screen and RGB interface.

Highlight Product – May 2018

The product range of AZ Displays is extended by the new module ATM0500D19K. This is a 5.0″ TN-TFT with a resolution of 800×480 pixels. Highlight of this version is the high brightness of 1060 cd/m² combined with a lifetime of 50.000 hours. Using O-Film polarizers viewing angles of 160° horizontally and vertically as well as a contrast ratio of 800:1 can be achieved.

The display is controlled by a 24-bit RGB interface. Optionally this can be changed by an adapter board to MCU or LVDS. Touch panels in resistive or capacitive design, which enable modern ways of operation, are also available.
